Syncopet (the web application, its source code, its design, its name and its
logo) is the property of Huggyscratch. It is NOT released under an open-source
license.

1. What you may do freely
   - Use the Syncopet web application at https://syncopet.netlify.app (or at any
     other address published by the author), for practice, teaching, or making
     music, whether privately, in public or professionally.
   - Use the MIDI and WAV files you export from it in your own work, including
     commercial work.
   - Read the source code, to learn how it works.

2. What requires written permission
   Any other use, in particular:
   - copying, hosting or redistributing the application or any part of its code,
     including on another website, in an app, or offline;
   - modifying it or creating derivative works;
   - using the code, the name "Syncopet" or the logo in a commercial product or
     service, or to earn money in any way (sale, subscription, advertising...);
   - embedding it in another site or application.
   To ask for permission, write to contact@syncopet.app.

3. Not covered by this license
   The sound files in the sounds/ folder come from public domain sample
   libraries (CC0 1.0). They are not restricted by this license: see
   sounds/LICENSE.txt.

4. Earlier versions
   Versions published before 30 September 2026 were released under the MIT
   license. That license still applies to the copies of those versions that were
   obtained under it.

5. No warranty
   THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
   IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR
   OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

Syncopet (l'application web, son code source, son graphisme, son nom et son
logo) est la propriété de Huggyscratch. Il n'est PAS diffusé sous une licence
libre.

1. Ce que vous pouvez faire librement
   - Utiliser l'application web Syncopet sur https://syncopet.netlify.app (ou à
     toute autre adresse publiée par l'auteur), pour vous entraîner, enseigner
     ou faire de la musique, en privé, en public ou à titre professionnel.
   - Utiliser dans vos propres travaux, y compris commerciaux, les fichiers MIDI
     et WAV que vous en exportez.
   - Lire le code source pour comprendre comment il fonctionne.

2. Ce qui demande une autorisation écrite
   Tout autre usage, en particulier :
   - copier, héberger ou redistribuer l'application ou une partie de son code,
     y compris sur un autre site, dans une application, ou hors ligne ;
   - la modifier ou en faire des œuvres dérivées ;
   - utiliser le code, le nom « Syncopet » ou le logo dans un produit ou un
     service commercial, ou pour en tirer un revenu de quelque manière que ce
     soit (vente, abonnement, publicité...) ;
   - l'intégrer dans un autre site ou une autre application.

3. Ce qui n'est pas couvert par cette licence
   Les fichiers sonores du dossier sounds/ proviennent de banques d'échantillons
   du domaine public (CC0 1.0). Cette licence ne les restreint pas : voir
   sounds/LICENSE.txt.

4. Versions antérieures
   Les versions publiées avant le 30 septembre 2026 ont été diffusées sous
   licence MIT. Cette licence continue de s'appliquer aux copies de ces versions
   obtenues sous cette licence.

5. Aucune garantie
   LE LOGICIEL EST FOURNI « TEL QUEL », SANS GARANTIE D'AUCUNE SORTE, EXPRESSE
   OU IMPLICITE. L'AUTEUR NE PEUT EN AUCUN CAS ÊTRE TENU RESPONSABLE D'UNE
   RÉCLAMATION OU D'UN DOMMAGE LIÉ À L'UTILISATION DU LOGICIEL.
